AHI President to coach Ottawa Senators AAA Hockey Team
April 30th, 2007 - The Applied Hockey Institute is proud to announce that AHI President and Director, Dallas Ashford, has been selected to coach the Ottawa Senators Major Bantam AAA Hockey team. We would like to congratulate Dallas and wish him best success in this upcoming hockey season.
AHI Partners with OSPC
February 11th, 2007 - The Applied Hockey Institute is proud to announce that it has partnered with the Ottawa 67's Sports Performance Centre (OSPC) to provide its participant with elite off-ice training. AHI and OSPC will be working closely together to design on and off-ice programs that will meet the player’s requirements. This partnership will allow AHI members the opportunity to receive specialized off-ice training in one of Ottawa’s premier training facilities.

AHI Director Drops puck at 67's game
Jan 20th, 2007 - As the Ottawa 67's celebrate their 40th anniversary season, it is time to pay tribute to the former players who have contributed to the team's success. It is with this in mind that the 67's are proud to present 'Alumni Moments'. Alumni Dallas Ashford took to the ice on Jan 19th, 2007 to take part in the ceremonial puck drop before the game. that the AHI Bantam Cup was won by team Red in a
successful and competitive week of games.
Congratulations to all players in a successful summer
and all the best in your training camp.
The Midget Cup was awarded to team Red & White in a 4
on 4 challenge that saw many great passes and plays.
Congratulations to all the players and goalies who saw a
lot of rubber over the course of the games.
AHI Alumni Selected in OHL Draft
June 30th, 2006 - The Applied Hockey Institute would like to congratulate Alumni Andy Creppin on his 2006 OHL Draft Selection. The Windsor Spitfires selected Andy with their 13th pick in the draft, 247th overall. AHI wishes Andy all the best at their Camp in September.
Dallas Ashford coaches Ottawa phantoms to championship
April 30th, 2006 - Backed by solid goaltending and team play, the Ottawa Phantoms captured the Outaouais Elites AAA title. In round robin play, the Phantoms went 4-0 with an impressive 20 GF and only 2 GA. Sunday featured 3 key games where the Phantoms came out flying and took the Championship 4-3 over the Ottawa Canadians. Check out the Champions Picture here
AHI 2006 one-week Peewee program
April 15th, 2006 - Each session will focus on a specific task skating, shooting or passing and working to a high tempo. AHI utilizes elite hockey drills to push the players to the maximum potential. The program will consist of three 2-hour ice sessions and two 1-hour ice sessions (8 hrs of ice). The 1-hour sessions will be conditioning and drill based. During the three 2-hour ice sessions; the first hour will be drills, followed by a live scrimmage in the second hour. These scrimmages will bring together the tools learned and will allow the instructors to provide real time coaching. For full program details click here
2006 Summer Program released
February 1, 2006 - The Applied Hockey Institute is gearing up for its 2nd full summer of exciting hockey programs and once again, the Challenge Cup will be fiercely competed for. AHI will be featuring 2 separate programs this summer - Bantam and Midget/Junior. The Bantam program will be for players born in 1991-1992. The Midget/Junior program will be for players born in 1990 & prior. Each program will offer on and off-ice sessions, but will be designed separately to meet and challenge the players at each age level. Click here for full program details!
AHI welcomes Nine-O Apparel
November 1, 2005 - The Applied Hockey Institute visited Nine-O Apparel this past month in Hamilton. After a successful day of talks, AHI pleased to announce that Nine-O will provide all the players jerseys, base layer workout shirts and tracksuits for the staff. Nine-O Apparel offers high performance undergarments for the serious athlete. Nine-O is a Canadian owned hockey apparel manufacturer with operations in Hamilton, Ontario. AHI believes this will be an excellent partnership and we look forward to many more years of working together.
